The Micro Insurance Company was formed through the merger of TonkaBI, STP Insurance Services, and MicroEnsure which brings together resources, expertise and skills in underwriting, technology and distribution. Role Description

You will be responsible for driving B2B sales across the Latam region with a target to establish us as a leader in the provision of micro insurance across Latin America. This exciting opportunity means you will spearhead the Micro Insurance Company entry to new markets by leveraging our existing products, customer journeys and technology to create B2B partnerships across the region. You will take responsibility for establishing the company in Latam and create a robust pipeline of new partnerships that will be implemented and operationalised by the MIC team.


You will be expected to:

  1. Identify, research and win new B2B(2C) partnerships with a wide range of digital distribution partners including telcos, banks, employee groups, e-commerce, ride hailing and other digital platforms
  2. Work with our internal teams to help create compelling products and customer journeys that B2B partners buy into
  3. Identify willing local insurers who will front for us as a global reinsurer
  4. Work with senior executives on key strategic issues facing the business.
  5. Provide an entrepreneurial and innovative approach to your assignments.
  6. Engage with stakeholders across the business.
  7. Drive proposals and carry out actions through to implementation and final results
  8. Communicate findings with senior management and the broader Company.

  • Ability to demonstrate a strong track record in B2B sales in Latin America
  • Minimum of 5 years work in a B2B sales role
  • Fluent Spanish & English (verbal and written), Portuguese a plus
  • Undergraduate degree, MBA preferred
  • Interest in (micro) insurance industry or financial services for the mass market
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and keen interest in developing businesses
  • Analytical and strategic skills, but also pragmatic and results-orientated
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved
  • Personality and a sense of humour (we believe work should be fun!)
  • Passionate about making things happen!
  • Location: anywhere in Latin America
